Tragically, our back-issue storage warehouse and the adjacent high-capacity Internet server facility were both severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Furthermore, in a cruel irony, when our staffers returned to the decimated facilities one month after the storm they found them both infested with zombies. Although we were impressed (and frankly touched) that zombies do indeed read Z!Q and have a palpable interest in collecting our back issues, the resulting gun battle and numerous decapitated corpses complicated our claims with both our insurer and FEMA. The rebuilding and data recovery processes have been brought to a near standstill, which we nevertheless hope to resolve by 2012.
